Clinics

Hospital-affiliated and Independent Clinics, and Community Health Centers are vital and primary members of the Coalition. Each has a unique role to play in emergencies.

In many instances, individuals will go to their primary care physician during an outbreak. Clinics need to be ready, changing hours of operation, for instance, as well as staffing and supplies.

The Coalition connects Clinics to a robust communication network and provides members with templates, resources, and education on how to develop and implement emergency operations plans to assure they remain an effective partner during a public health emergency, able to provide services to the community for which they are available and qualified.

To be an aware and actively involved member of the Metro Health & Medical Preparedness Coalition:

  • Register with your local public health agency to receive Health Alert Network (HAN) updates and rapid alerts.
  • Maintain an up-to-date emergency operation plan for Planning, Mitigation, Response, and Recovery.
